Hi Daniel W. Great Trip Report! This trip brings back many memories of when I travelled out of LHR to Amritsar Raja Sansi back in 2004 and 2005, with T5. This was in Winter and I was only about 6. Like you mentioned that terminal was new, and when I went there the old -terminal pictured below was half built and the doors to the tarmac were left open constantly meaning that everyone was huddled in the corner trying not to give in to the cold.

Six hours were spent on one of their 757's and the final two hours were done on a 737. Plus a five hour wait in one of their waiting rooms.

All to save £50 and avoid Air India

Funnily enough though, those flights got me into aviation as I was able to walk up close to all those Illuyshin's and a couple of Boeing 737's with orange covers on the engine.

Safe travels and thank you for this TR

P.S. Great Pictures!
