All the more reason why the United app *MUST* have a baggage tracking option. It's insane they still don't have this feature yet.

It would be so much easier to track your bag either right before the flight takes off or during the flight if you have WiFi on the plane (United app is free over WiFi on the plane).

Delta has had this for years. It works brilliantly. United needs to implement this. At this point let's start with the basics - a feature in the mobile app that tracks your checked bags after check in...showing when they were scanned and where. To get fancy the app should be able to alert you that your bags are either early (on an earlier flight) or late (missed your flight).
