Flew BFL-IAH-BNA yesterday, and once I resigned myself to the fact I wasn't going to be able to pull off a SDC, I went ahead and checked a bag. The descent into IAH was pretty bumpy, but we still managed to arrive on time at 12:11. My connection to BNA was at 3:35, but I noticed on the boards there was another IAH-BNA at 12:30. Get to BNA, bag never turns up. Walk into the baggage office and there's my bag. Agent said "oh, it's been here a couple of hours". How can UA get a bag onto the (incorrect) flight in 20 minutes, but sometimes can't get it on the right plane with 2-3 hours time?
Real test will be my return. I have a tight but legal connect at IAH, 43 minutes. Wonder where my bag will go next.
