Others have given you the short answer here - no BA don't want your business on this particular day on this particular route unless you are happy to pay a premium.
On investigation it is easy to see why. Aberdeen to London is a much more lucrative route than Aberdeen to Amsterdam. Similarly London to Zurich is almost certainly a higher yield route than Amsterdam to Zurich. There is also no direct route for BA to want to compete with by pricing indirect competitively.
Looking 9 months ahead SAS are the cheapest, followed by AF by Paris and then KLM, would you say KLM don't want your business on those dates or is it just that SAS have more need to fill those two routes on that day? But BA is still £80 more expensive on those dates confirming they aren't too concerned about price wars on this route. I'd say £80 return is just about what would swing it for me as a gold card holder to get my benefits and avios, so they are pricing at a rate that will attract loyal customers but avoid pax buying on price only on a route they don't need to fill with cheap seats.
