I use the LHR-ZRH connection quite often and you are right that this segment is quite expensive. This is because of three possible reasons (in my eyes): 1) Always lots of pax, 2) Switzerland is expensive and income is high; a lot of companies want to profit from that, so does BA and 3) the destination is so well booked that there is no need offer cheap tickets (like MXP or OSL) to develop a market for BA here.

The ZRH-LHR segment is so expensive that I try to avoid using it. Its cheaper for us to fly to OSL first (around 180 CHF return) when connecting to the east coast in J.

Dont care about the 200 more; it's so expensive here... doesn't matter.
