I am a Hong Kong Permanent Resident. I have not taken the HK passport (I hold a US passport).

I just realized I've misplaced my HKID. I have a CX flight tonight to Europe. I do have my US passport. Being Sunday evening, I haven't had time to report my card lost yet (and it might not be lost...I haven't had a chance to search the office and another apartment). Very plausible it's not lost but I won't be able to locate it before my 12:30am flight.

I presume (hope?) I will be fine after explaining to the immigration officer, but can anyone confirm...and offer me some peace of mind?
