My previous transits at CGK have been much shorter, so I've never given a second thought to how to spend the layover. Seems a little long to just hang around the lounge.

Thanks in advance
Kinda surprised an outlet mall isn't in the works for somewhere near CGK...then again, traffic around the airport these days is as bad as in Jakarta itself.

With those times and that time frame, I really wouldn't suggest trying to venture downtown. Though I suppose you could have a couple of hours checking out Monas (the national monument) and some air conditioned mall on Jalan Thamrin (a major thoroughfare near Monas), traffic coming back would be bad news.

What time of year is this anyway?
