Which flight pass route are you flying? (My comments may not be applicable to international ones.)
Stopovers aren't allowed on a flightpass. However, they can be booked across two days if you're on last flight in to the connecting city, then take the first flight out next day.
Book online the route you want, and then phone reservations (within 2 hours) and change the schedule. As with all interactions over the phone, YMMV.
Once in transit, you may find the "1st flight out" rule can be relaxed if you find a knowledgeable and accomodating agent. Again, YMMV.
