Happy to spend a couple of days in ATL as probably wouldn't visit again.
With regard to the domestic issue. There are reward flights to LHR from GLA and then onwards to ATL in CW, so reward seats are there GLA-LHR. Just can't book those if want to fly to ATL in F.
I will phone when ready to book and see what they can do.......
If you can see the seats you want individually available online but can't book the through-trip that you want online, that is a good reason to 'need' to make the booking by phone such that you will not incur the telephone booking charge - so be sure to specify that is why you are calling!
We took the MIA via ATL approach last year. It is a decent plan. We overnighted in ATL airport hilton since atlanta itself didn't appeal, but each to their own!
