The ban comes as the summer season hits full swing and many passengers are traveling to resort destinations with their children.
The ban will cover a list of 23 cities, among them the Bulgarian city Varna, Amsterdam, Brussels, Prague, London, Athens, Paris, Rome, Nice, Venice and Antalya.
Previously, Aeroflot's anti-smoking policy applied to flights of fewer than two hours, but Aeroflot does not think the ban will put much of a strain on passengers, nor does the airline think it will lose clientele.
