You need the transaction to be posted to your account as a settled transactions - so it can't be a pending transaction at the end of your deadline to complete spend.
So if your spend date is January 15th, but your statement in not until February 4th you are ok to spend it January 10th (even though it would not show on your statement until after you spend by date)? As long as it posts on the February statement?
