I have been here all my life, and it surprises me how rude people are when I go to the lower 48. I am just not use to it. Please, no offense to anyone—there are nice people everywhere. Maybe we just take it a little easier up here. I have been to half the states and I can tell you it is different here. I have been to Washington D.C. too, and I know what you mean. In Alaska, if your car breaks down you will have 10 people stop to help—just little things like that. People in Alaska pride themselves of being friendly. Everyone that I have met that has moved here, are always astounded by how friendly people are. They don’t know what to do when everyone says “hi” when they’re walking down the street. Plus you can see moose walking down the road!
