Probably worth noting AA is cutting at least some of the old USAir TAs as well, further reducing the need for the afternoon DCA feeder connection. I know bc I was scheduled on a US award DCA-PHL-FCO. Post-merger, they cut the PHL-FCO flight starting 2/1/16 or so. Never told me -- just kept my DCA-PHL legs, and cancelled PHL-FCO. Yay, new vacation from DC -- 10 Days in Philly instead of Italy -- thanks AA! (Got it fixed of course, but still a pain to deal with.)

Based on many bad experiences through Philly on the way to Europe over the years, I'll be happy to be done with done it (and start building a new dislike of JFK).
