There is a 6am PHL-DCA flight that I've wondered about. As this doesn't service TATL traffic or even west coast red eye connecting traffic, is there actually PHL originating traffic using it to head down to DC?

Or, could AA possibly find a better use for that slot?

AA did want to restore ISP-DCA at one point. If it chose that market, AA would probably need to have it depart at 5:30am for it to reach DCA at about the same time, but that might be too early for most passengers to want to use it. WN's ISP-BWI runs at 5:50am which is just 20 minutes later, but I'd assume a departure time at 6am or later in the early morning would be more optimal for AA still.

Does AA have flexibility for DCA slots in regards to optimizing arrival/departing times?
