That's a very good breakdown of these resorts, and explains why Soneva Fushi/Gili Lankanfushi and FS KH/LG are my favorites. Four Seasons is not only family friendly, but they are often the best at making all guests feel at home, so they are great choices even if one does not have children.

OO RR also belongs in group number one above.

Taj Exotica could fit in a lot of categories, but maybe it belongs in a category by itself: Relaxed, refined luxury with superb F&B?

In the "freebie" category I suspect the upcoming St. Regis Vommuli will be one to watch. It's in a remote atoll and looks promising. Of course it probably will require a huge number of spg points to redeem free nights there. Paid stays could yield a bonanza of spg points or airmiles.
