In DL service:

727-200: 119Y+12F, 3 lavatories
737-800: 138Y+16F, 3 lavatories
757-200: 156Y+24F, 4 lavatories

In other words, there's quite a big difference in capacity between the 757 and the 737 that gets it the one extra lavatory, though yes, there is less lavatories per passenger when compared to the 727 it is replacing in most airlines.

As for cabin width ... I've never noticed the difference between any Boeing product, they all seem the same to me.

The new '800's have great seats and A/V systems, so while obviously a wide body would be nice, if you're stuck on a narrow body plane, I don't think it's the "worst" by any stretch.
