The 727 is a little wider and you're right. I'm not in love with the 757 either. Most people prefer a widebody plane.

The critical thing for me is the time of the flight. Three hours is fine, but somewhere between four and six hours it's becoming a little confining for me personally. FA's complain about the long post film lines at the restrooms! 140 seats and just 2! For comparison, the 757 has typically 160 seats with 3 restrooms.

DL, which thankfully maintains a 32" pitch, is flying these to Latin America now and management absolutely loves it!
