I just recently flew this flight. The good news is that this is probably the nicest possible way to travel from Europe to the US. Even though there is no chauffeur to the airport (or to the plane from the airport), and even though you only will have access to the Lufthansa First Class lounge and NOT the First Class Terminal, I'd still rank it far superior than my one time I flew Lufthansa First Class with access to the First Class Terminal in Frankfurt. The lounge is right next to the boarding area and was still very nice, although nothing compared to the First Class Terminal and Porsche transit to the plane. Nevertheless, it was still a nice respite from the typical madness of the main terminal, and offered perfectly adequate champagne for pre-flight mimosas.

The bad news is that I also consider it one of the more lackluster SQ First routes that I've flown on, since it leaves so early in the morning and it's a relatively short flight. I just can't enjoy Krug/Dom at that time of day without blending it with OJ. Thank goodness for the suites lest others look at me with disdain for my uncouthness. Sadly, by the time I'm ready for straight bubbles, it's time to land. Still, book the cook as suggested, lobster with mimosas in the morning is like a nice Sunday brunch. It's a short flight but take a nap after your meal. Wake up, ingest another book the cook meal, down a few more glasses of bubbles and blissfully arrive in JFK with plans of earning more miles to do this again, on a much longer flight, that leaves later in the day... because you will.
