I've never lost anything - I've had it really, really late (like 5 days and by the time I got it I was returning from my trip), but never lost

Some friends of mine once flew home from somewhere in the Caribbean on some brand-X airline and when they got to NY, they had shut the airlines down for bankruptcy or back taxes or some such and held everyone's baggage in a terminal warehouse for over 30 days!
