But, I'm sure many FT's had seen the extremes - depending on the carrier and FA encountered, some will block passage & insist pax return to the seat & buckle up while others would ask the pax to hurry (and even unlatch the lav door) if the flight is still not on its final approach with wheels down & flaps set, etc.
Happened to me one time after a few beers in the Lounge. We boarded and were still on the tarmac with seat belts on when I realized I won't be able to hold it in for another 30 minutes. So, I asked the FA but she outright refused. I grit my teeth and took it for the next 20 minutes, but not any more. About a minute after wheels up, I told the FA that either she opens the restroom door (I was maybe 2 rows from the restroom) or I go in my seat. She got up and opened the door.
