Join National's Emerald Club. Not only do you not have to pre-pay for gas, you don't even have to fill it up when you return it. They average the street price of 4 stations near the rental agency and calculate how much you need when you turn it in and they add it to your bill. They average the price of the cheap grade too. Makes it real nice and easy to return the car.
