UA just can't win either way, huh?

In the other thread, everyone is griping about how many more miles they would've earned under the old system.

Here, everyone is griping that they don't earn even more in the new system. When actually, under the old system, even some of the longest journeys, say JFK-SFO-SYD and back would've only ever earned say, 40000 miles (20,000 rt, and 100% bonus). Now you can earn a maximum of 75,000 for just one leg of that.

Which one shall it be?
