Has anyone stayed at the Radisson- St. Helen's Dublin (for a first timer to Dublin)
Hi FTers,
I just reserved a room at the above Radisson in Dublin, Ireland, and wanted to check here to see if anyone has stayed there in the past. It sounds like a unique place (renovated mansion), but I am somewhat concerned by the hotel's distance from the center of the city. I couldn't pass up the ~$79/night rate (the cheapest rate on the Radisson website is ~$141/night) using a UA 50% off hotel cert. Should I cancel this reservation and move a little closer to the city & things to do?? If so, suggestions on nice (but not high $$) accomodations would be greatly appreciated.
I welcome all input/suggestions about this property, and about things to do in Dublin in general for a newbie there. I'm going the first week in November. Not tourist season, which I am fully aware, but I had an AA voucher that expired in Dec, and wanted to go somewhere new and exciting, and can't really travel until October at the earliest. So the airfare was basically free.
Thanks in advance,
Rob (a FTer on a budget)
