You do not need it for TSA Precheck. In fact, if you show your NEXUS card to the document checker without the Precheck logo on your boarding pass, you'll be sent to the regular security lane. Just make sure your KTN is on-file with your frequent flyer programs, and travel agency if booking for work. This is how all US airports work.
