You would still need BA involvement somewhere. IN that example, it is an AA fare so you will need a very strong justification to use BA where it is neither the 1st international carrier nor the publisher of the fare.

Also need to bear in mind that many airline fares now have rules that say "Ticket must be issued on QR/AA/QF etc" regardless of who operates the 1st flight.

No. UUA not permitted when there are non BA code flights on travel agent bookings.

saw that the travel agent say they are a preferred sales agency. In that case they would have their own non-standard channel (account manager) for this type of things.
