Best seats for sleeping? First vs Coach

I have a red eye this December from Kona to Seattle. How are the First Class seats for sleeping? I've read that they have very limited recline. Is it worth purchasing an upgrade from coach? I currently have a bulkhead seat in coach (seat 6F).

Also, how are the window seat armrests in row 17 (exit row) on 737-800s and 737-900s? I noticed on the 737-400s the window seat armrests are cut short and aren't very comfortable for sleeping (no place to rest your elbow).
