Time to get ticket reissued after upgrade with Avios
I'll admit I am quite unfamiliar with the workings of BA. I am wondering if it is normal it to take more than a day to have a ticket reissued after requesting an upgrade with Avios. I called yesterday to upgrade a WT+ segment to CW. The agent made the upgrade and I see the change to the reservation. The Avios have not been deducted from my EC account nor have I been charged the taxes yet. I called today to see if there was a problem and they just said it's in the queue. On most US-based carriers, taking 24+ hours to get the ticket reissued would make me nervous. So I thought I'd ask the BA experts here if that is typical.
