With that said, you have exposed the fact you already knew of the need to recheck your luggage, I find it hard to see how you justify asking for compensation when you openly accept it was your personal fault for forgetting.
Still lesson learnt, just an expensive one.
The point I'm making, and to be honest I regret even mentioning it as being reunited with my bag is what really matters, by the time I started my journey I completely forgot about having to collect my suitcase at DEN. Therefore I believe that the agent who checked me in at OSL should've told me. And she didn't. I'm not a 100% sure but she may have even said that the luggage would go through to LAX.
This, said I'd appreciate it if we could move on from the complaint apsect of my post. I'm interested in what's your experience or advice on the rest of the matter.
