I did notice on my last flight that the info was missing on both the menus and magazine, so I thought that the FA would not honor, but no issues.

On my last 10+ flights on both AA/US I have had no issues with asking for drink and snack. My last flight I was asked by FA if my SO wanted a complimentary snack.
