Finished a 2 night stay here just over a week ago (booked standard room on points ).
My reservation was upgraded online the day before arriving (from standard to executive room).
On arrival at 4:30pm the room (that I chose during online check in) wasn't available. Was given a room at the back (which I was trying to avoid) but we accepted.
Nice hotel, pool only 'ok' (hardly any sun and no views). Nice EL but the blonde Dutch girl working there (trainee?) was terrible. She was pretentious and snobbish and acted like she owned the place. We ran into a guy (that we met in the EL of the Hilton Sukhumvit in Bangkok a few months ago) and he started talking about her without us mentioning her, saying that he thought she wasn't suitable for the job at all. Seemed like he shared our thoughts...
Breakfast in the main restaurant was busy and a bit hectic but loads of food choices and good quality. Some areas in the restaurant are a bit depressing though. For a free stay we thought it was tremendous value though.
