I was booking a flight for two adults to LAX but after selecting the dates I got to the traveler's info and noticed the other passenger was missing her middle name. The message on the top said the name must match their government issued ID, including the middle name. So I start all over and go into her mileageplus account (using her miles for both tickets) and yet again another error. The DOB is off by one day. When I try to submit a change, it forces me to pick a salutation (so I pick Mrs.) and then asks for proof of identication. I upload a picture of her driver's license, and finally it says it will take 10-14 days for the changes to appear.

I am booking saver economy seats and am pretty late to the game so many are already taken. I do plan on calling them tomorrow but I have a few questions. Does the middle name make a difference? It usually doesn't but I am worried since they specifically gave me the warning when I was booking the flight. I think having your DOB off by even one day is a big concern? I don't really know. And the salutation thing I hope it's meaningless even though it required me to pick one in her profile because we never use salutations. I hope it does NOT take 10-14 days and calling them tomorrow will do it.
