I wanted to share a truly awesome experience I had at the Westin a while back.

Last time I was in Bangkok, I was staying with my partner's family. One morning, I was trying to find a danish, so I walked into the Westin and asked if they had any for sale. The front desk clerk told me they did not but said he'd grab some for me from the buffet at no charge. Before he made his offer, I mentioned that I was not staying at the hotel. I found this absolutely incredible, it really made my morning.

As a result, I'm putting my parents up at the Westin for 7 days later this year.
