Yeah, there's all sorts of funky stuff that goes on with Hilton.com pricing, that's for sure. Another one is where it states the rate on the search results list page but you only find out on the itemized quote that the rate changes mid-stay and for some nights is higher than what was listed. Personally, I just always check the price quote and look at the item-by-item list to see what is involved. The final line item sum has always been accurate. I do understand the argument regarding the legality of calling something that is not a tax a tax. But I guess I just never have gotten too worked up because at least it is visible before I agree to it.
