CNN to Broadcast Airport Delay Info

The CNN Airport Network, whose broadcasts are seen in many waiting areas at airport gates, will now carry information about airport delays.

The information will be broadcast as a ticker at the bottom of the screen, the way CNN Headline News reports sports scores and stock prices. The data will come from the Federal Aviation Administration's Air Traffic Control System Command Center. It will tell passengers that there are delays at a particular airport due to weather or any other problem, but won't give data about specific flights. Passengers can then call the airlines and ask about their flights.
