NickB. When AF have equipped all of their 777 fleet with the BEST seats as well as a replacement seat on the A380, their long haul J will be better than BA's. In the meantime, in terms of hard product, BA is still ahead in that particular one-to-one fight, and different choices on a very specific route hardly change that. It would be the same as saying that BA has more intimate J cabins than the competition just because one happens to fly CWLCY while the rest of the fleet certainly would not meet that description.
