Had a similar BS "environmental/green" fee placed on the folio at the Rio Rancho Comfort Inn some years ago. It was removed after the desk clerk guilt tripped me. I wasn't even paying for the room as it was a work trip but I was still annoyed and did not feel my employer should be paying that sort of BS fee. Maybe it is an Albuquerque area thing.

Never seen a fee like this at any Hilton property and I have 20+ stays a year.
