Yes and no... Mileage Plus (and OnePass as well) have forgotten to update mileage charts more than once in the past when new fare classes or levels of service were introduced. A prime example was Turkish Airlines' Comfort Class, UA still had A listed as a First Class fare for ages and U listed as a Domestic only economy fare (and earning 0%) but in reality A was the new discount CC fare and U was the highest CC fare. They were the last ones in Star Alliance to get this fixed but were doing manual adjustments by request since it was an obvious oversight and they were having trouble getting things synced with TK at the time. Similar with the P fare introduction debacle, it's hard to believe they are intentionally trying to exclude these discount business class fares from any earnings but are having trouble getting on the same page with all partners offering the fare class. Updating newly introduced or changed partner fare classes is far from Mileage Plus' strong point.

In the case of this TG fare, it actually seems to be excluded in every Star Alliance program except O6 (Avianca Brazil), but I have a feeling that even O6 wouldn't credit international sectors on a V fare, but rather that their Amigo English site is poorly constructed.

That means another mileage run to BKK with at least a class Q ticket. I'll make sure that the flight is class Q. To be honest, not so sure why I'm going through the trouble of getting gold status again......
For the OP, if you're just looking for intra-Asia PQMs and not needing to go to BKK specifically, I don't think TG is your most efficient option. UA and SQ to SIN should offer a more economical 100% PQM option than TG. CA K, L, & W fares have been quite low from TYO recently as well if you can tolerate a PEK connection. If you don't need a ton of miles, also ET Q fares to HKG are sub-30k yen which are still 100% PQM (though now reduced RDM) though those do require staying 2 nights in HKG which is expensive (because of schedule, not fare rules).
