I am in a similar situation but with a revenue ticket.
I have a ticket that permits a stopover in Singapore. My routing is HKG-SIN on 2Oct, and then I want to fly SIN-KUL on 3Oct. SQ is showing zero availability in all classes, on all flights on SQ & MI the entire day and the following 2 days if I'm trying to add on to my existing flight. But yet, if I am to look up availability on those flights alone, they are available to book.
Sometimes I hate the SQ computer's logic.
Since I am waitlisted on the PHN - SIN sector, but confirmed on SIN - JFK, could i ask them to remove the PHN - SIN flight and keep just SIN - JFK? or is it one of those things again, where SIN - JFK needs to have a seat available (even though i am confirmed) in order to do this?
and my original ticket was for SGN - SIN - JFK. they removed SGN - SIN and added PHN - SIN as a waitlist. Shouldn't they have kept the original SGN - SIN until the PHN - SIN confirms?
