Good chance a fare will come along that will get the two of you there for less than GBP 2500 in J.
I agree however the 241 vouchers also make Club world Plus just about acceptable. I gave up paying BA J or F fares a while back and in August cancelled 4 x F to KUL when QR came up with fares to my final destination that made even that booking look silly.

I can't comprehend spending almost £2.5k plus a shed load of Avios to get from LHR to Japan. AY CX QR and lots of others have better fares and products that are a significant improvement on BA CW.

Just looking at Japan on ITA Matrix for next Sep ( I assume Sep and not Dec as OP profile says located in UK) and you can get seats in J from MXP to NRT for £1310 on LOT /SAS. BA also offering DUS for £1470 each in CW.
