I started this thread some months back.
Reporting back.
We stayed at the Novotel as planned, and it was a pleasant stay. Yes, the rooms are not big, but perfectly adequate for the solo business traveller.

The hotel is very close to the Rideau Mall (3 minute walk) and I spent some time there.
