Hey, I m traveling to Kolkata from Vancouver by China Eastern airlines. My flight is from Vancouver to Kunming with a 3 hours technical layover in sanghai. I have a 12 hours sick layover in Kunming in order to catch my next flight to Kolkata. I m definitely within 24 hours wondow time of this 24 hours twov. And I was hoping to utilize my 12 hours layover in Kunming. I was thinking of getting my passport stamped in sanghai which would help me get out of the Kunming terminal.
But I came to know from another person that getting my passport stamped in sanghai will not help me get out of the Kunming airport terminal.
And since my first stopover in China will be shanghai so in Kunming I won't be eligible for a twov stamp. So I will have to stay inside the terminal for 12 hours.
I m taking your opinion regarding this matter. What do you guys think?
