how about this? from msp to lax back last week, on oct 7 a lady 2 rows in front of me was eating her byo salad as the flight was at cruising altitude....she pours on the salad dressing and proceeds to put the bowl containing her salad on the floor....as she looks for something in her purse.

And the floor is worse than the tray table because....
Every flight people use the tray table to eat. So every flight, there are food particles that fall on it, drinks that get spilled, napkins used to blow noses or wipe kid noses (or the odd diaper change??). So that tray table is swimming with all sorts of bacteria from countless people and the trays are never cleaned either.
