I stayed at the ES Anaheim-Orange for several week-long visits during some heavy renovations a couple of years ago. The rooms had already been completed, but the atrium area was unusable and signs were posted about noise from 7AM to 7PM.

There was no discount, but they were VERY flexible with happy hours, managers' receptions, restaurant certificates, etc. The staff was more sincere and apologetic than any I'd ever encountered, and most nights I either ate or drank for free.
