I wouldn't worry about it. If your inbound is late, then you're obviously screwed but stuff happens.

It'll take you about 10-15 minutes to exit T4. LAX flights tend to arrive near the SkyClub. Use the exit for "Passengers Without Checked Bags" since that's you, your bags will be transfered for you. This will save you a couple of minutes of walking.

Head to the AirTrain and take an "All Terminals" Train two stops to T1. That's another 10 minutes.

At T1, the major headache is the security checkpoint, but as a J passenger during the worst peak period it shouldn't take you more than 20 minutes to clear, or about 40-45 minutes total since you stepped off the Delta flight. T1 is small -- it's at most 5 minutes to your gate.

Also, if you're connecting to the A380 it'll probably be operating 30 minutes late, so you'll have plenty of time to go the AF lounge and sip some champagne.
