I usually ask for a 1/3 to a 1/2 a glass of the light white for a taste only, since most of them are not all that great. I am usually served a very FULL glass and most goes to waste. When I don't ask for a partial glassful, I am served the normal.

I remember the old days when good German whites were served. I think I even got a full bottle served once, and it was a great flight.
