Welcome to Flyertalk! There are many on the board from New York here but I will throw out the name of 3 hotels in the general area. There's the Hotel Pennsylvania nearby but I haven't heard any good things about it. I once stayed at the Southgate which is a Manhattan East Suite Hotel and it was fine but this was back in the early 80s. The Roger Williams isn't two far away (31st and Madison) and it looks nice (it's a SRS Worldhotel). I would suggest trying Quikbook for discount prices.
