It seemed to me that if I have the C1 Venture card, I can reimburse the travel expense with the "Purchase Eraser", as well as earn Frequent Flyer Miles for any airlines as long as you're a FF member!

Let's say I am a fan of United Airlines, and I have 25,000 Venture miles in my account. I have an airline ticket that costs me $500, so I can use up my 25,000 points to get a reimbursement of $250. That's a 2% rewards.
BUT, the thing is I'm also earning United Airlines' FF miles at the same time, and it helps me earn my premier status quicker.

On the other hand, if I used real United miles instead to redeem a ticket. I won't be able to earn any miles nor will it count towards a premier status progress.

Now doesn't this sound like a good deal assuming I'm a frequent traveller?
Please advice, and verify that I'm not thinking too good.
