I'm not sure they consider EWR to be co-terminal with LGA or JFK for award stop purposes.

I (4 years ago) wanted a one-stop reward YYC-YYZ, YYZ-LGA, EWR-YYC, and aeroplan.com wouldn't let me, it only let me do YYC-YYZ-EWR-YYC.

Perhaps a phone agent would have been able to do things differently.
