The NY Hilton charges $1.25 for toll free calls. When staying there, I typically make no calls from the room but head up to the executive lounge on the 44th floor and make all calls from there instead. There is only one phone in the room but 800 number calls are free and there is a data port connection in the phone. Fortunately, I can connect to my ISP via an 800 number.

In contrast, the Times Square Hilton does not charge anything for toll free calls and their rooms are a bit nicer too. Unfortunately, this hotel was originally designed to be a DoubleTree and lacks an executive floor.
