I stayed at the UN Regal Plaza in New York City this past weekend. Local calls were $1.50 for the first three minutes, and 50 cents for each additional minute. 800 calls were charged at a flat rate of $1.00 with no time limit.

In all my US travels this was the most I've ever seen for a local call.
